About Me

I've been a runner since 2011, when I decided that my first ever event should be a half marathon.  In the moments after completing that, I decided I would never run again.  Of course, that changed quickly and I've run 5Ks, 10Ks and an 8-mile cinnamon bun challenge since then.

In 2014, I was diagnosed with cancer late in my training for my second half marathon.  Surgery prevented me from running that half, and chemotherapy prevented me from traveling to and running the half marathon I'd planned after that.

Post-cancer, I'm getting back into running with a new race planned for my second half marathon.  I also enjoy kayaking, traveling, gardening, reading and hanging out with my pets (and husband).

What you'll find here: the goal is that this will be primarily a running blog.  Beyond that, you're going to read about my other activities, travel and the odd book if it's running related.  I will also talk about my weight and issues around being a plus-sized runner.

Hope you enjoy!
